In 2017, Street Art for Mankind made history by presenting the first street art exhibition ever hosted at the United Nations. At This Age raised global awareness of child slavery through powerful artworks created by 15 international street artists, each inspired by the real stories of child laborers.
The exhibition exposed the harsh realities faced by 168 million exploited children, while offering a message of hope — imagining the lives they deserve instead. It was presented in partnership with the Permanent Missions of France, Argentina, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States, along with the International Labour Office.
At This Age became a milestone moment in SAM’s journey and a defining example of how art can ignite social change on the world stage.
