SAM partners for the first time with UNESCO on the creation of a series of large murals focusing on quality education for all. Their goal is to raise awareness and mobilize action, to achieve UN Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4), ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education for all by 2030.
In chronological order:
Paris, 2022: A Massive Mural by Victor Ash was unveiled in tandem with the Transforming Education Pre-summit, convened by UNESCO on June 27th 2022.
Houston, 2023: A Large Mural by Belin marked the occasion for organizing a UNESCO Campus program, connecting Houston high schools with others around the world. This mural is also part of the Big Art Bigger Change murals series.
Detroit, 2023: A Mural by Hopare was produced in Detroit, Michigan, the first UNESCO City of Design in the United States. This mural is also part of the Be The Change murals series.
Chicago, 2025: A mural by Carlos Alberto highlights the transformative power of education in unlocking the potential of the next generation to ensure inclusion and opportunity in the city’s future-ready economy. Mural made possible by StorageMart.
