As Los Angeles gears up to host world-class sports events through 2028, we are creating a free outdoor museum made of twelve+ large-scale murals in the heart of downtown LA.
These epic-scale, visionary artworks, created in partnership with DTLA Alliance, Council District 14 and the City of Los Angeles, transform Downtown LA into a canvas, inviting Angelenos and the world to dream bigger. They reflect the city’s diverse community, champion social and environmental progress, and celebrate the spirit of sports- excellence, respect, and solidarity!
The first three murals are coming up now to make everyone Dream Bigger through Green Transportation with Artist David Flores, Women Empowerment with artist Emily Ding and the Transformative Power of Education with artist Shamsia Hassani. They are kindly supported by The Coca-Cola Company.
Dream Chaser by artist David Flores is a massive, vibrant mural on the Los Angeles Athletic Club (LAAC) (visible from parking lot at 618 S. Olive Street), celebrating micro-mobility and green transportation. Inspired by the LA Green New Deal, car-free visions, and LA’s rich skateboarding culture, the piece invites viewers to dream bigger for a more sustainable planet.
Soaring Higher by artist Emily Ding is a powerful and elegant mural on the Figueroa Eight (visible from parking lot at 724 S. Figueroa Street), celebrating women’s empowerment. The artwork pays tribute to LA’s historic role as a stage for gender equality and a megaphone for voices shaping a more just and visible future for women around the world.
The Melody by artist Shamsia Hassani is a poetic triptych on The Bloc (corner of 8th Street & Flower Street), highlighting the transformative power of education—both within and beyond the classroom—in shaping stronger communities. The mural underscores education as a fundamental human right and celebrates how sports, arts, and music cultivate the
