As a prelude to the NFL Draft in Detroit in April 2024, Street Art for Mankind is creating a massive “Be The Change” art walk made of large inspiring murals, in partnership with the City of Detroit, that will welcome visitors to the streets of Downtown Detroit.
The murals, inspired by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s), celebrate humanity’s shared values and Detroiters’ resilience. It is a reminder that everyone, and anyone, can be the change”. Quoting Mahatma Gandhi: “Be the Change you wish to see in the world”!
This initiative is being co-sponsored by the City of Detroit’s Planning and Development Department, the Downtown Detroit Partnership, the City Office of Arts, Culture and Entrepreneurship, and Bulleit by Diageo for one of the murals. Artists from around the world began working on the project last week.
