As Houston prepares to host the FIFA World Cup, visitors from around the globe will experience more than just world-class soccer — they’ll be immersed in the city’s vibrant spirit, rich cultural diversity, and warm hospitality.

In celebration, Street Art for Mankind has unveiled “One Big Family”, a dynamic mural series honoring the unifying power of soccer and sports as a whole. These powerful public artworks tell stories of inclusion, courage, and community — reflecting Houston’s values and the global ideals of the game.

At Shell Energy Stadium, Dragon76’s mural “Soccer Adventurers” bursts with futurism and positive energy. In the artist’s futuristic, manga-inspired style, athletes of diverse backgrounds and genders unite around soccer  balls — a visual testament to the sport’s core values: equality, inclusion, and respect.

Just blocks away from the NRG stadium, “Empowered Wings” by Insane51 captures the inspiring story of Michael Martinez, a young Houstonian with cerebral palsy who saved his family from carbon monoxide poisoning. Blending portraiture with a soaring Northern Cardinal — symbolizing freedom and strength — this piece champions visibility and dignity for people with disabilities, emphasizing that they are vital members of our society, deserving of equal opportunity, including in sport.

At NRG Stadium, Edosa Ogiugo’s mural “Panache” depicts powerful athletes from soccer, rodeo, and American football in motion. Full of dynamic energy and grace, the artwork symbolizes the shared drive and determination that unite all athletes — and all people — in pursuit of solidarity, purpose, and greatness.

Together, these murals are more than just public art — they’re a call to action for a more inclusive, respectful, and unified world. As the eyes of the world turn to Houston, the city proudly shares not just its love of soccer, but its belief that we are all one big family.
