The Road Safety mural, created by Japanese artist Dragon 76 and curated by SAM in collaboration with UNITAR (United Nations Institute for Training and Research), envisions a future in which roads are safer places for drivers and pedestrians.

This 5,200 square feet mural is a reminder that road safety is a shared responsibility that must be prioritized to halve the number of global deaths and injuries from road traffic accidents by 2030 (UN Sustainable Development Goal 3.6). This is about creating a positive norm and promoting choices where we all win. The Mural will come to life in augmented reality with the free SAM app “Behind the Wall” that will educate on Road safety, and enable all viewers to act.

The mural was made possible thanks to the support of AB InBev Foundation and AB InBev. The wall was donated by the Chhabra family and the production was facilitated by the Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority (TBTA).

Address: 216 E 39th street, New York.
