The purpose of this interactive painting is to reflect on the future of New Rochelle, the place of technology within humanity, and the importance of diversity and equality. It features Mae Carol Jemison, an American engineer, physician, and former NASA astronaut. She became the first African-American woman to travel into space when she served as a mission specialist aboard the Space Shuttle Endeavour in 1992.
