Legacies of Change, curated by Street Art for Mankind, celebrates the power of collective action in building lasting positive change.
This series features two replicas of iconic works by legendary Houston artist John Biggers: Untitled and Christia Adair, reproduced by artists Alex Arzu and Emmanuel Jarus. The former addresses the past, present, and future of Africa’s displaced children, while the latter honors the legacy of Houston civil rights leader Mrs. Christia Adair, celebrating her remarkable impact on the community.
Other murals in the Legacies of Change series include artist Bimbo Adenugba’s Faces in the Crowd and Protest, which act as powerful manifestos for social justice; Edosa Ogiugo’s Free Spirit, which celebrates cultural diversity through dance; and Miss Audri’s Tribute to Reverend Lawson, which honors the legacy of this prominent pastor and civil rights leader.
