It is a tribute to Michael, a young hero with cerebral palsy who saved his family from carbon monoxide poisoning during the February freeze in 2021. His bravery serves as a powerful reminder that people with disabilities are capable of extraordinary feats and deserve recognition, respect, and equal access to opportunities in all areas of life—including sports.
The mural features Michael performing a wheelie in his wheelchair. Dressed in a superhero cape and raising his fist to the sky, Michael is depicted as strong, cool, and unstoppable—he is soaring through the air. In an exciting twist, the mural comes to life in 3D when viewed with glasses, thanks to the artist’s signature “Double Exposure 3D” technique.
As Houston prepares to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup, this mural highlights the city’s commitment to “leaving no one behind” in sport!
