The mural is part of the
#BigArtBiggerChange murals curated and produced by Street Art for Mankind (SAM) in Downtown Houston.
It is a tribute to the Aplomado Falcon, an endangered species of Texas, to illustrate the effects of Climate Change on our environment. It comes in support of the United Nations’ Sustainable development goal 13 that invites us all to take immediate actions to combat climate change and its impacts.
The falcon is flying above the trees towards freedom, rising like a phoenix, spreading its wings… yet, if you look closely you will see it disappearing in the background at the same time recalling its fragile and conditional existence.
